Read the book. It is a well researched book and spot on. Men cost society
dearly, women mop up after them. Once the privatized prison industry
figured out how much profit they could make putting men in cages they had
to elect cynical bastards who would facilitate the incarceration rate.
A novel criminal justice policy went into effect demanding that there must
be an arrest whenever police are called out on a domestic disturbance call.
The effect was that the rate of women in prison rose by 700% in the last
decade, ever since the policy went into effect. Now the one who makes the
911 call is more likely to be arrested than the abuser. I bet you didn't
know that, Charlie!
Best,
Frances
