I'm devastated. Karen and Madeleine villatorro and I took a trip to Oaxaca. Back in 2000 I think. we were visiting Freda Miller. Karen was brilliant at finding lodging, restaurants and activities in every single City we went to (Mexico City Puebla and Oaxaca. She chased down the name of a fabulous Museum in Mexico City. She was an extraordinary travel guide. In Oaxaca we went to a fabulous demonstration of indigenous dances. Right next to the mezcal Fiesta. Karen was the first person that had a digital camera. And she let us use it at that Festival. Still have the pictures. Fontaine

May she rest in peace, Karen Willis. Karen was a roommate of Connie
Clark back in Ghetto Daze. I remember the wonderful week-end I spent
with her accompanying her to the Houston cat show in her van. She was a
dear friend of mine.
