If i might chime in, they are really investment properties and nothing
more. No one actually lives in them. There are many in China that stand
vacant for the same reason. Interesting article on these ventures in
Rueters. Dr. Taylor, who has now transferred to University in San Antonio
is an expert in Chinese economics. Chair over Political Science and
Geography. He travels to China several times a year to lecture. He could
tell you more about it.
