Saw the New Year in from Dave Moriaty's fabulous party house on Red 
Bluff Trail. At midnight from the porch one saw from horizon to horizon 
from across the river private parties setting off fireworks. Good 
harbinger of the new year. Clear sky and I thought I saw the milky way 
in the form of a band of very faint stars in a portion of the sky. On 
the other hand, it is likely that I didn't know what I was looking at. 
Thanks Dave & Carlyn Brady for the party. Duncan Echelson said he got 
some Facebook info from Charlie Loving explaining his absence. Notable 
Ghettoites there were  Maryann Price, Roger Bacon, Connie Clark, Mary 
Jane Ford, Houston White, Dian Donnell. Ave Bonar had set up a bedroom 
as a photo studio and portraits were taken. Met a charming gent name of 
Bryan Mulligan.
