Mike,

I cannot imagine where you acquired the completely wrong idea that valid ‘street photograpy’ requires unawareness or lack of participation by the subject of the shot.  Here are a few small samples of what I mean.
Plus, juxtaposition of incongruous elements is one of the standard tropes of the medium.  Thank you for your deep insights.
