[AGL] the ghosts of Austin

This big Mac building went up recently, visible from our bedroom window. 
As many of the new highrise residential towers seem to be sparsely 
occupied, going from the fact that most of the windows remain dark and 
unilluminated at times where one would expect folks to be home and 
awake. So I asked Siri/aka Samantha what was the occupancy rate of new 
downtown Austin residential towers. The answer is 93.7%  - could it be 
that the realitors are pulling our leg, like election results in Kazakastan?

We got up early today because wife Madelon, ghetto list subscriber 
Connie Clark and Scout Hook whom you all know are on a 2 day trip to 
Corpus to see the Dorothy Hook exhibition at the museum there. Around 
4am we saw one illuminated window. Later this morning around 7:30 I took 
this picture.
This time /no/ window was illuminated.

I took a walk recently with Ed Ward around downtown. He informed me that 
he had been given to understand that many/most of the apartments in the 
new very highrise towers had been purchased as investments by absentee 
owners (Chinese? Russians? son-in-laws of African dictators?)
