Yes. He has published a book on Texas  furniture and furniture makers. Also he did some time at smithsonian history museum. Now retired in ft davis, he writes a weekly column on Texas history that appears in the alpine newspaper. A stalwart liberal democrat, and is fun person to chat with about many things.
