Youtube has become so ubiquitous that people are using it like ...kleenex (for
tissue). This is fascinating Mike. I do occasionally do a little vid that I'd
like to share (like grandson's birthday) but not with whole world.

what You Tube?
www.charlesumlauf.com is a domain name of a web site which offers
for sale sculptures my wife Madelon inherited from her father. it took me
2 years to implement the tricky masthead and photo the sculptures. check
it out: www.charlesumlauf.com
pair.com hosts the domain name stuff on their server.
anyhoo, like yourself, i have an FTP account with pair.com which
comes with email and a maillist bundled with the FTP account.
FileTransferProtocol is the way 1 uploads and downloads
stuff directly from servers. Not to be confused with browsers, FTP
uses separate computer programs.
the simplest way for you to access a movie clip from an email is for
me to put in the address of its file stored somewhere in the Internet
cloud
and for you to click on the address.
i had to put the file somewhere so natcherlee i put it in the server
space i am renting from pair.com
there are free spaces all over the cloud to put stuff into but they're
trying to make money with ads or something and usually the viewer
has to subscribe to the "free space", confirm subscription through
email which email they will afterwards bomb with ads. and then
have to log in.
as they say in French, fucque 'em
