Frances Barton's usual announcement for a special Melancholy Ramblers gig comes with a stylish poster by Guy Jukes. This one is plain text. 
Tonight I attended her most recent recommendation--a benefit for the Hon. Representative Elliott Naishtat. He is one strong progressive voice in the Texas Legislature who we are proud to re-elect time and again.The usual suspect-liberals were strongly in attendance. I had a chance to schmooze with lots of politico's I've worked with over the decades. Everyone seemed really pumped and politically invigorated. 
So if this Saturday happening with the Melancholy Ramblers from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Jovita's is as much fun as that, it is sure to be a special good time, poster or no.
