Interesting. I NEVER heard him make music except 1 time.
I knew he was a drummer.

One time at Fletcher's Raw Deal bar on west 6th street,
where Jerry & I were fellow habituates, Fletch was
ranting against beebop type jazz.  Jerry & I
started quietly chanting a love suPREME while Fletcher
was ranting against straight-ahead jazz. I am sure no one
else at the table, the owner's table, had any idea why
he & I were chanting a love suPREME..
