[AGL] channelling Obama

Hi Mike,

And with my 2¢, we have 4 (and Pakistan). I agree in large part. The
only thing I didn't know was that the Taliban wouldn't want alqaida
setting up again, although it makes sense. I feel there may be some
variables about our relationship with the Afghans and "tender
mercies" may make the opposite easier to say, but the idea, as is,
will give me some time to see "how the worm does turn". Even tho
we're pretty sure the direction—I have been surprised a time, or 2.

As for the dear twisted children, around the world, I think that's
gonna happen anyway. Its the terribly deprived v our often spoiled,
self-centered brood who should be drafted into the Peace Corps when
one foot leaves useful education. Too much time on their hands/ Idle
hands are the devil's workshop thing. A dose of hard work and doing
good may untwist more than a few. I agree with you, but I think we
must do what we can. I'm glad they need more training than less since
many may be turned away—too soft, or suspicion, whatever. I have most
often agreed with the VP, who has been there many, many times.
However, as you say, many of us knew what had to be done to get
elected. I'm not quite that stupid, nor did I not understand the
cartoon. I suppose its so serious to me that a smile is hard won and
any comparison to georgie amounts to lard. He, I'll bet, never
communicated with himself. No second thoughts unless the profit grew
in cash.

I did enjoy the Brit's decision about "bonuses". I enjoyed our bit
yesterday. I haven't figured out how the greedy will attempt to screw
it around. I haven't had time, but its clear to me that Wall St. is
the enemy. I also see most of the US Senate as scarier for me than
the young terrorists—at the moment. Talk about unbelievably stupid
and eventually placing the entire world in a state of shoulder- to-
shoulder madness in climate change. Passing health reform may keep me
alive long enough to see a better world IF we can get past their
idiocy/lies. Besides, its part of the overall plan to grow the
economy. That's why I write and call them (and strangers) and annoy
the Sen. as often as possible. I know how little it gets, but its
something. If everyone would do something—$ if they can—just maybe it
will save a few lives and much misery. AND, we can get on with edu.,
technology and jobs. But health has to come first, or it won't
happen. I want the Pres. to pound on something and yell, "Don't you
get it? Here's the plan again. Oh, and you're being lied to. . .
remember?
Anyway, I've run out of strength. No doubt, many are grateful, so
others may carry on. If I rest for a half hr, or so, maybe I can
clean some of the kitchen.

Have a lovely week-end, mm
