La Follia is joined by a vocal quartet and a complete baroque
orchestra to perform arias from J. S. Bach's magnificent St. Matthew
Passion and Jan Dismas Zelenka's Lamentations for Holy Week.

Far from a gloomy reflection on our sinfulness, this is tuneful,
gracious music, full of hope and inspiration. The Lamentations for
Holy Saturday are rarely heard masterworks with text from the
Lamentations of Jeremiah. The arias from the St. Matthew Passion
incomparably express the range and depth of emotion experienced in our
search for communion with the Divine.
