The Land of Plenty on DVD from the public library.
the MacGuffin of the movie is that America is the
good place. except for the last minutes, a Los Angeles
mission and the borax mining town of Thona, CA is
where the action is.
Niece and uncle drive away in the last minutes
to drive to New York WTC site in his battered/
colorful van.
Paris, Texas is by Wim Wenders and he also
did some weird stuff set in Berlin with the
actor Colombo (Peter Falk) playing an
angel in a dirty raincoat.
I'd give Land of Plenty a full 4 (on scale of 0-5)
