I didn't even know about this blog until I got
this copy via the moribund Yahoo 'Ghetto' Group.
Don't know why, but am very glad, because I
didn't even know about it.   I hope you  can
continue to post it on the Yahoo Group site;
selfishly, that's the easiest was for me to
read it.

Hi Margot,

Isnt Mingus some little Texas town? (must Google
it).

I havent looked at the list of subscribers at the Yahoo
backup maillist for a long time. Thorne must be one
of the subscribers there. I unsubscribed him from austin-ghetto
after he unsubscribed me from the local Austin left-wing
maillist MSD. I had enjoyed being the counterfactualist
there and fustigating Roger Baker for his opinions. Thorne
laudably has the urge to communicate. In addition to editing
MSD, a maillist, he maintains an uberMSD blog, a Web site,
in which he agregates journalism pieces he agrees with.

as for the original Austin-ghetto maillist (which i dont believe
has yur current email address) it is quasi-moribond. Connie
recently sent us pictures of the shuttle on top of a 747 on its
way back from Edwards AFB in the high desert to Florida
with several stops on the way as it waited out the bad weather
in the east. Fontaine has kept us in the loop about one of
our icons.

are U still living near Wash DC?
