Check the date, Michelle. We were talking about the Pres. debate last Friday. Connie parked in front of my house and walked down to the park. We watched with Walts daughter and another friend - by the time Connie got back to my house 3/4 of the way through the debate, we were anxious and distracted by McCain's aggressiveness. We were pleased when the pundits and middle america seemed to think that Obama won the debate.

I guess the lesson is that these things do not necessarily turn out like you think they will. I have been practicing my deep breathing all day in anticipation for the Veep Debacle. I mean debate - watching Palin makes me feel embarrassed for her. I may just try to focus on how wonderful Gwen Ifill is as a moderator.
