i dont remember any pithy remarks except that
i found the satanic verses unreadable. he does
magic realism which is too cute for me. and
what do you mean, old coot? he's younger than

Islam like Protestantism and unlike Roman Catholicism
does not have a central dogma authority. in Islam
you plays it as you like it. if Obama were an Afghan
and converted in adulthood to Christianity, he would
be liable to be executed. In other countries where
Islam and Christianity live in peace together, more
or less, there is no such tradition. Edward Luttwak
a right-wing know-it all talking head (actually he is
often quite insightful) said in a NYTimes op-ed
piece that foreign Moslems will hate Obama even
more than they hate Bush (who is known to be a
Christian) because they would consider him to be
an apostate from Islam; the Times checked with a
number of Islamic clerics in the US who all said
that Lutwak was talking nonsense. Obama is not an
Afghan living in Afghanistan, nor did he convert
to Christianity in adulthood.

The disinformation on Obama started early and
will only grow greater.

on another subject, Frances, couldnt you delete
some/all of the crapola on the bottom of your

I recall your pithy remarks about his book. I may have to watch because I
believe that there is a tenet that Muslims, once born into that "faith", can
only "convert" to Christianity upon pain of death. Hmm. That implicates
Obama whose father was Muslim. Supposedly being born to a Muslim is to
become a Muslim.
