You heard it here first. 
Most notably A.Shivers, but John Connally, Phil Graham and many more Texas pols saw the writing and, especially since the demise of Dixiecratism as a viable option (largely, methinks, cuz of the influence of Mr. Sam and LBJ) , switched from Dem to Repug. In fact, I think that Miss Piggy was a Dem, no? Even the sainted--formerly besotted--Bob Bullock sold out Gary Mauro when he was in the middle of a race, BB effectively throwing his support to the GOP candidate. That was one of Bob's last significant acts, but treachery is so entrenched in Texas politics that nobody missed a beat in herding together to name the state history museum (which, conspiracy nuts, or maybe savants, should note has Masonic symbolism on one of its cornerstones) after ole Bob.
Anyhow, Scott is the primary suspect, to some, in being behind the gay interloper/phony-press-card-holding-illegit- pretend reporter being allowed into the White House, which sidebar-wise I'll bet is nine kinds of felony. At the very least, Scott is rumored to be gay as a three dollar bill.
So this morning I caught Ari Fleischer, Scott's erstwhile boss, on the Fox Street Journal telly channel spinning the hey out of the Scottie story, saying enough nice things about him to be considered judicious when he skewered little Scott. 
So, will Scottie Boy (I take my cue from our beloved Pres., whose pet name for the Satanically evil Kenneth Lay was "Kenny Boy"; I kid you not)  ever be trusted in Repug, corporate, PR, or Log Cabin Repug (Talk about a disingenuous, propagandistic name for gay Repugs! It's like having a DARE bumper snicker in Port Aransas: that's as much as to say "I'm Loaded!!" But I digress.) circles again? Heck no.
So what's left for this still young chubby besides caftans and mimosas? As the old Cajun joke goes, Everybody gotta be somewhere. And of the whole darn lot the only friends he's got...will be the Dems, who have much reason to be very grateful to him.
The old--no doubt anti-PC term was "invert"-- so it would be a wonderfully ironic for Scott to reverse the tradition and go from Repug to Dem. He's got my vote, if only for the distress he's causing Rove, Rummy, Cheney and the rest of that ilk that comprise one big historic slimeball. Harding's administration had more integrity.
