[AGL] bad joke about Nelson Rockefeller

before our trip to NYC i found through Internet string
pulling an old family friend. by which i mean her 
parents and my parents were very close this going
back to the 30s. Helene also was friends with my
mother and they used to go to Manhattan and 
antique shop together.

anyhoo, we visited with her and husband in
Douglas Manor which is part of Queens next
to Great Neck. they have access to Long Island
Sound anchorage and we smelt the briny air
and saw the horseshoe crabs which are breeding
now even as i type.

anyhoo, Helene is a proper lady and excused herself
for repeating this joke.

Nelson Rockefeller expired in the arms of his 
mistress in the apartment he had bought her.
Megan something was her name and she was on
his payroll as one of his art curator team. this was
way back in the 80s.

the joke:

Nelson thought he was coming but actually he
was going.

i think Helene learnt this joke last week because
she and husband and 2 grown daughters visited
one of the Rockefeller estates up the Hudson on
a guided tour. but maybe not. maybe she has
harbored this joke for decades just waiting for
me to find her on the Internet
