Gerry,

Talking of Austin Lake Estates, do
you (or does anyone) have a photo of
the steel entrance gate with "Austin Lake Estates"
in spidery letters written on the gate's arch?

For those who have never been there,
this was/is a sort of colonia with no
building restrictions, hippies welcome,
so there were some very odd estates:
homebuilt and "alternative" houses.

In my mind, the gate was emblematic 
of what was to be found in Austin Lake 
Estates, but that might be pure projection
on my part.

That Willie Nelson lived there when he
first moved to Austin was no accident.
