[AGL] follow up to social notes, etc.

Font,
I don't remember all the specific events but going back to his days at West Point he often strayed from the pack. His family were big time military and managed to keep him in school and ultimately into a career--before he got shot down in Viet Nam. He seems to have a penchant for going off alone on some strange tangent and then having to apologize for it. He is left-handed. This means that he has Uranus aspecting (most likely) the Moon...subject to strange emotional behavior.
Superdelegates can go either way (that's why they are called that). So any polls including them are misleading. If Obama gets a lot of momentum going they are likely to vote for him. Also misleading are the caucus counts, they are only estimates of how the delegate counts will wind up. At present it is a dead heat but Obama's ground forces seem to be producing.
George Will reported today that the reason Hillary carried California was that large numbers of her supporters voted early (absentee) and thus were not able to change their votes when Obama was surging at the end. But another interpretation is that the Mexican vote carried her and that he has little appeal to that group. I don't know, he did pretty with that group in NM.

Gerry,
That's the second time today I have heard the statement that McCain is crazy as a loon. I've not been tuned into stories of his unpredictabilty, and would like to hear a little more.
Arguments have been raging for days on the other list about Hillary and Obama; I have finally decided that I want to go with he who pulls the formerly disenfranchised - the young, especially. I've never seen them so excited and engaged, and I expect that he can pull a huge turnout. I worry about the Clintons roping in those superdelegates, winning the nomination and then losing the general to John McCain.

McCain is crazy as a loon, very unpredictable, long history of bizarre behavior, wait until the Demos get ahold of his record. As for Huck, a Southern Baptist preacher, what else to say? Did you note that when McCain started bringing his overdressed trophy wife to all the rallies his ratings went up? Hard to find him on TV without her included in the frame. I guess she can talk, no sign of it yet...and, of course, she can smile well. Wonder is she is/was a professional actress?
Obama campaign sent a pro organizer (young woman) to nearby Silver City about one week before the vote . She got on the local progressive web site and started to work, held some rallies, etc. (I presume that she rallied the 9 blacks who live in the county.) Obama carried the half Hispanic county in a close one. You have to wonder how many other towns of 10,000 warranted such attention. Good, solid politics. That's the way to spend campaign cash.
No final count on the NM vote yet but it doesn't really matter. One gets 12 delegates and the other 13. This is a victory for Obama who was unknown here a year ago.
Looks like Susan and Bill Smith get the nod for an Austin realtor. If, for some reason, they don't work out I would recommend Robin McCall who is a Westlake Hills/West Austin specialist (or was back when she helped me out 20 years ago).

McCain-Hickabee? Very scary indeed, but unlikely. My concern would be that his VP be sane, as McCain is pretty old and a cancer survivor.
