We had a pleasant evening with my kids last night - I fixed Italian, and we opened gifts. 

We're off  to see Charlie Wilson's War - which I have been looking forward to since I watched the doc on History Channel. It has everything - Tom Hanks as a coke snortin', hot tubbin' Texas hero, and Julia Roberts as a big-haired Houston socialite. And there is Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Will be interesting to see whether the connection btwn our helping, then abandoning Afghanistan and the borning of the Taliban will be made.
