Joe is now out of Methodist, staying temporarily at my place, awaiting 
the re-splicing of his colon, which ruptured just as his immune system 
was crashing from the treatment. If that had happened five days later, 
he would have been dead.

The good news is his recovery has set a new record for the San Antonio 
group: his blood test showed normal on all markers last Monday, 
genuinely amazing the experts.
