[AGL] Gerry- another in case you missed it

I have been to Mexico City twice and lucked out. The first time with my brother in 93 during Day of the Dead. Altars in all the parks, everyone off on vacation, so little pollution. The second time with Karen and Madeleine in 2000-can't remember the holiday, if any, but the smog was not too bad. We went to the Dolores Olmeda Patino museum, the home of Frida in Coyoacan on the day of her death (quiet reverence on that day) and the market in Coyoacan. I'm thinking maybe a Sunday in August......

Thanks Font. Yeah, I used to know Ernie Mae, a rollicking high spirit. Never knew about her background though, most interesting. And yeah, Margaret has learned her trade. I guess she is the dean of entertainment writers in Austin these days.

I would love to go see the Frida exhibit--if it were any other place than Mexico City. I swore to God 40 years ago that I would never again travel to that hell hole.

This is for Gerry, who spotted the story about Frida Kalho. Enjoy.
I doubt there is a single person on this list who did not at least once go to the New Orleans club to hear Ernie Mae Miller play and sing. I find this oral history delightful, and Ms. Moser has done herself proud.
