do you know Micael? i had heard of him over
the years but never layed eyes on him until 
last summer's Jaxon memorial.

it's like the cover of this week's Austin 
Chronicle featuring the Hawaiian Prince.
Visually prominent as he used to sun 
himself on the rock near the low diving
board at Barton Springs when i went
there often. he wore a swimming suit
and Hawaiian lei beads around his neck.

this was before he got tattooed. my fren
Danny Schaeffer the photographer went
with the Prince to a tattoo convention in
Houston and got some great pictures of
the Prince and others.

it turns out the Prince is named Jim Hughes
and has grown old. he's on the cover trying
to sell the camera a tricked-out man's shoe.
