[AGL] question for Karen

It wasn't my doing. When Billy Jim died, the free server apparently stopped
working. Fontaine and I are working on getting everything set up on a new
server. I still have the files, and there won't be anything lost. It's a
waste paying for the domain name without a server. But we will get it
working once again sometime soon.

Karen,

When did you pull the plug on www.texasghetto.com?

There were some invaluable pictures and text there and
I imagine you have CD's of all the files.

I can host this Web site free. One address option which
should be acceptable could be

charlesumlauf.com/texasghetto

I went looking for it recently and Google had dropped
it from its archives if it ever was in their archives.

It could keep its original www.texasghetto.com address
if some Bob Simmons/Travis Rivers Maecenas comes up
with $19 a year for the domain name. It would cost me
$1 a month to host it which I guess i am now in the mood
to offer to do (Legal notice: moods subject to change
without notice).

I pay $1 a month for Pair to host one domain name for
me. I also pay $19 a year to continue to own a particular
domain name. As i said some nabob will have to come up
with the $19 a year forever, to keep owning the www.texasghetto.com
domain name.

Better than to make its address www.charlesumlauf.com/texasghetto

if you want to resusitate it FOR NOTHING.

or, better yet, www.charlesumlauf.com/austin-ghetto

You will remember that Bob Simmons named it Texasghetto because,
as he said, he didn't much like Austin anyway. You will remember
that Fontaine, wittily, said she preferred austinghetto because it
was unpronounciable without great effort. But as it was on Bob's
nickel, he named it. It was supposed to be on Travis Rivers' nickle
he having promised to reembourse the Simmons for the $70 (price
then for 2 years) but you know Travis.
