I found the xeroxes someone made of some of the
reports to the UT police on the Ghettoistas. There was
talk of putting this on our Web site but some of the
named perps objected.

At least one of the reports alleges that a female Ghettoista
was believed to engage in fornication with men. While
reading and laughing one should try to imagine the attire of
the undercover author as a thought experiment. It must
have been enormously thrilling for him to attend Ghetto
parties on the weekend at the same time proud of being
undercover and scared of being unmasked.

Having stood around at said partays I can still visualize
them: think harsh incandescent light in a small crowded
slum apartment and cast iron pot on the stove boiling
down the peyote.

For those who are interested:  my story on former UT top cop Allen 
Hamilton's files and on sixties surveillance in Austin is in the Texas 
Observer that hits the stands tomorrow.  Also, all the documents are to be

I was interviewed today for a four-minute segment on KUT currently scheduled 
for 4:44 pm tomorrow during All Things Considered.  And I am scheduled to 
appear on a show called On the Fringe on KVRX Monday evening at seven.

And if that isn't enough, for a small fee I'll come to your house and read 
from the article.  (Additional for clown and/or stripper.)
