Mike-- In the future, I'll leave well enough alone. I'd say Ramsey was 
trying to bait you-- you did well not to rise to the occasion. As for 
Carter's book and its thesis that Israel is an apartheid-style state, I 
would have to say, having visited there and chatted with a number of South 
African Jewish exiles, that Israel leaves itself open to such criticisms by 
its separatist treatment of Palestinians. On the other hand, who wouldn't 
want to be "separated" from people who send suicide bombers to stroll into 
your country and blow themselves and other innocent citizens to smithereens?
