Someone on another list sent this site. Gist is, if election were held today, there'd be 209 Dems for sure, 207 Republican for sure, but the remaining 19 show no clear favorite. So I'm not buying champagne until 9 pm two weeks from today, if it's warranted. Molly Ivins reckoned, in the column I sent out yesterday, that the GOP dumps a lot of money and a lot of slime in the two weeks before an election. Where I think she might be overly pessimistic is in her assumption that TV ads really do much swaying anymore. Anyway, this website is great.

  The Republican campaign ads here in Texas featuring Chris Bell as an incredibly shrinking man are without redemption. When one opponent takes another candidate's ads and vandalizes them it only shows me what a morally and ethically bankrupt operation they run. I hope the public sees it that way.
