On November 23, 1963 I thought (and said) that it was no surprise that JFK was murdered in Dallas. Nothing has happened in the meantime to cause me to raise my assessment.

There was once a scathing critique of Dallas in an international opera magazine, The lead article was "Dallas Goes to the Opera." The author complained incredulously that the Dallasite patrons were late, stepped over others getting to their seats and were dripping with lots of noisy jewelry creating a scene rivaling what was going on on stage. Esther's Follies once had a skit in which one of the lines was, "What does Dallas have in common wtih yogurt? No active culture.

You would get "hot and bothered" if you stumbled across a dead (female)
rhino in your living room.
Cheers, ducks.
