[AGL] Ann Richards story

Mine wasn't all that good-it was the first one that popped into my head when
Mike asked me my favorite Ann story.

John and I were hanging out/drinking with Ann and Dave at the Split Rail
after the County Commish victory, and Martin Wiginton came over and started
to tell Ann what her first priorities needed to be when she began her post a
few weeks in the future. Now, Martin was one of those lefty types who
eschews electoral politics - didn't believe in 'em. So of course, he hadn't
voted for or campaigned for Ann. She listened for a few minutes, fixed him
with her blue eyed glare and said in very ominous growl "Martin, you REALLY
give me the redass" and proceeded to chew him a new one. It was the first
time I had ever seen her light into anyone like that. Scary but impressive.
I actually thought Martin deserved it, though.
