Point: Too few American are aquiring scientific and engineering
skills, of foreign born 3.3 percent of those 18 or older have advanced
degrees comapred to 2.2 percent of native born Americans. As a group
immigrants pay more taxes than they get in benefits. NAC in 1997 found
immigrants had little impact on earnings except for unskilled jobs.
Dropouts found their wages going down becasue of competition from
unskilled immigrants.
