And Billy was cool he came to the Luckenbach Worlds Fair that we put
together and Big Boy Medlin was his chapa... well they drank together.

Carter awarded veterans who by chance of birth were not involved
in
>armed conflicts but who nonetheless manned to front during the
cold war
>their full rights. (I, among them). Thank you, Jimmy, sure
came in handy.
>
>Jimmy Carter brought the nation down from the
madness of the Viet Nam era to
>a much cooler place. His calming
influence was a great boon. The presence of
>genuine feelings for
humanity coming from the top was good and rare feeling.
>
>I
love Jimmy Carter. He sacrificed a lot for us, and he is still walking
his
>talk. If more of us had defended him...nah, let it go, it was sad
to see his
>pain. Now he has found a better
role.
>G
>
>
>
>----- Original Message

and that wrestler in the great
>white
> > north. Seems to me
that those snowballs didn't melt. Show me a Democrat
>that
>
> makes sense and I would consider him or her but right now I like the
idea
>of
> > Kinky and so what if the vote is thrown away. I
threw a vote for Kerry
>away.
> > The Democratic party so far
hasn't shown me anything to get excited about.
> > There needs to
be a lot of showmanship and such to get my attention.
>Donald
>
> Duck would do but not Mickey Mouse.
> >
> >
>

Democratic
> > victory would devastate the religious right AND the
Republicaners. A
> > "protest" vote for Kinky,
whose idea of protest is to not vote
>at
> > all, is an
equally empty gesture. If you want entertainment buy a
ticket
>and
> > attend a performance. The Kinkster hasn't a
snowballs chance in hell and
> > would be even less effective as
governor than Ahnold or Jesse, neither of
> > whom proved to be
exceptional leaders. Comedy and music run on nuance,
>which
>
> is not terribly effective against the likes of DeLay and Rove. Politics
is
> > hard

other political
> > scuttlebutt I also plan to support Chris Bell
for the
>Democratic
> > candidacy taking on Gov.
Goodhair this fall. His
>formal
>announcement
>

pm
>on UT
> > campus at the foot of the MKL statue
near 23rd and San Jacinto. He's
> > a
>proud

virtual
>unknown
> > to some
200
>Deaniac-style Democrats in Meetup at Scholz Garten
in
>the
> > Spring he got a
>standing ovation
from the entire room. He is smart
> > and focused and
respects
>the electorate enough to tell the truth.
>
> That's a new political gambit for
>sure in these times.
Unlike the
> > Kinkster, I feel sure he voted many times
in
>the last ten years,
>even
> > in the US
House of Representatives where he
>represented
Harris
> > County. His district was carved up by the Deadly
Delay
>Political
>SWAT
> > team with the
Redistricting juggernaut we witnessed in the
>Texas
>
