Jesus we could all have fun

Mike, I would not in a thousand lifetimes invite Hector to another ghetto
party. Not after the scene at Moriaty's which you witnessed. I do worry
about Hector, though. I haven't seen him in several months at work. I fear
he got laid off in the big consolidation of Health and Human Services.
Without a paycheck, I don't see how he could keep up his membership in the
Austin yacht club.

All my sailing experience has been courtesy of Hector. He is a fine
teacher. But the drive back into town after a couple of six packs took a
lot of courage. He is much more competent on the water than on the highway.
Luckily I lived through it.

Subject: Jesus we could all have fun

Remember the old Ranger parties at Wendy Point with three sailboats and
Susan Vander Hoof's father chasing us up the lake because an ex page boy was
messing with a 14 or 15 year old! All this boat talk has got everybody
excited and talking about sailing, lets do it...

CLARK

My last chance to go sailing on Lake Travis was quite recently.
Walking home I chanced on Hector Lujan who had locked
himself out of his car. After several hours which included
Hector & me at my place locating a jimmy and some other
tools during which he hada beer and returning to his car and
finally getting it open during which a "helpful" passerby tried
walking off with my favorite pliers, Hector, in appreciation,
then invited me to go sailing with him. He is a member of
the Austin Yacht Club (I know him from the UT sailing
club) where he races his 22' sailboat. I didn't have to think
very hard about the proposed 50 mile roundtrip drive in his
rackety car to the yacht club, a late afternoon sail, and then
the drive back, all the time with a very aggresive drunk.

Hector is very sharp, very fast, very judgmental and he is
not to be missed at least in small doses. Karen, did Hector
make it to either of the two partays that i missed?

Michael
