chicken man in outer space

For me all of the 30s serials of Commando Cody had its own eerie
attraction, him with his bullet-shaped tinfoil helmet (slant eyeholes,
like a chinee). It was mostly shot outdoors with plenty of jumping and
running action. 'Space ships' of the 'batteries not included' variety,
dribbling smoke lazily out their ass-end.

Really liked to hear again of the 'Pete Smith Presents' shorts. They were
divine and inspired, late forties.
