recreate 1940'2 SE Texas dinner

What I would do would be to contact the local historical society and get
the names of local booklets put out by churches and ladies' societies in
those days.  If they don't have this info, the local churches often do,
and I have been helped in the past by asking old ladies at the local
churches - they go home and get you their local cook booklets.
