PLAYING WITH CAMERA, ANTICIPATING LENT

Clark,
I agree with Michael on the pictures. Excellent.
On the pretend-Catholic-period-of-deprivation some call Lent, I strongly recommend that you deliberately cut EVERY meal you eat in HALF. Eat a good sized breakfast, having smaller half-meals progressively throughout the rest of the day.
It might seem kinda like Lenten fasting for you, but cutting every meal served, hopefully four a day, by HALF for 40 days is sooooo doable. You might lose a little weight. You WILL feel better come Resurrection Day.
Once you get the hang of it, you might come to like those one-person-size meals, as opposed to two-person-size meals, or more. I promise you you won't go hungry. The steak salad at The Salt Grass is about right for a celebration feast.
Eat less, take pictures more. Your camera work is awesome. Divert some of that food consumption pleasure into documenting the beauty around you. Walk around the neighborhood to expand your range of photo possibilities. The light nearing sunset and right after dawn are the golden lighting opportunities for photography, so I hear.
It's all about the eyes. Train your eye to see more pictures. Do not scoop up large helpings because your eyes-are-bigger-than-your-stomach. The stomach tends to catch up with the over-the-top amount the big-eyes erroneously judge to be a proper plate full.
Don't think of ANY meal as The Last Supper, that for sure leads to overeating. You ain't fat, Clark, you are just storing about a year's worth of food energy. By thoughtfully eating for one, you can get slim in five years, deprivation optional.
Best,
Frances
