here's one for you, roger

Roger is still subscribed to the list (note to self: 
post a list of our many subscribers) but the cat's
got his tongue on this list at any rate. if you want/need
Roger wisdom you will hafta read it where he does
post namely on the doppelgaenger list.

when roger did post to the list i usta fustigate him
roundly fore and aft for ignorance and error.

i usta just get in that mood where you feel that the
object of the fustigation deserves it more and more
and more and more. a kind of pornography of
chastisement takes over. of course this chastisement 
exists only in the non material world of speech. and 
besides roger is untouchable and the fustigation just
bounces off him. he's forever up there in the air 
somewhere with rogeristic musings of doom and 
woe is us, speaking in that idiosyncratic combination
of Cassandra-like self satisfaction combined with
a total lack of affect of voice that one comes to
enjoy.

It is/was strangely beguiling and i regret no longer
running into Roger here and there in town for an
occasional personal fix.
