Pat Lane and the Varsity theater

Ah, the Varsity. What a great movie house!

They had a unique policy. If you left during
the first 15 minutes of a stinker movie, they'd
give you a rain check.

Never heard of this anywhere else. I thought
I was in movie house heaven. They had an
interesting balcony option and the classic
double pair of stairs to the johns upstair.
No, I am disremembering: just one stairway
but a generous sized one.

Bob Charles, R.I.P., tipped me off to the 15
minute policy.

Pat Lane was committed to technical chastity
before marriage (at least as far as I was
concerned ;-). Which didnt mean we didnt
have some serious fun. What a gal!

Uninterestingly or perhaps not, Bob Charles
had a torrid affaire de coeur with Pat Lane's
older thin divorced sister.

Charlie Loving mused:

> It was just a thought. We used to go to movies and such in the days when
> the Varsity Theater was there.
