Charlie,
Last time I talked to Pat, 20 years ago, or so, she was a mom of two boys in Midland-Odessa area, where her hubby Doug worked in the oil fields.  They had lived in Dallas prior, editing or working an alternative news/entertainment rag.
Doug's last name is neither one of the ones you mentioned, but it escapes me right now.
