Good morning Austin!

yesterday the People's Community Clinic
celebrated their 35 years as a people's
community clinic.

and i have gotten my doctoring there for the
most part during that time.

so i was interviewed by Fox News in the
person of a small woman who asked me hard
questions

"how have the Clinic patients changed from
1971 in the basement of the Congregational
Church on W.22 as compared to now?"

so what to say?

so i said what i thought

"back then they were mostly hippie chicks in bare
feet with health problems whereas now it is
mostly young hispanic and black mothers."

this is not the stuff of Fox 9 o'clock news so
my footage was reduced to a tiny bit:

"why did you originally go the People's Community
Clinic?"

i spoke as i write here as pompously as possible

"i went because i had fallen ill," said I my eyes
shifting nervously. I had been told to look only
at the interviewer but as i said my televised
answer, i glanced at someone else who was
listening. this translates into a very shifty looking
wigwag of the head and eyes. way bad. must
practice more in front of mirror.

also attending the do (they had a tent with music
and nibbles on the grounds) were Sam Jones
whom we all know and love and Aralyn Hughes
the ebullient real-estater who keeps a pet pig.
Sam's wife works there and Aralyn had been a
volunteer back in the 70s.

type with you soon
