Sam Houston Clinton (part 2)

According to the obit, his birthdate is not
to be revealed. In his mid 80s I would guess.
Hazel & Sam Houston lived across the street
from us for many years. Hazel always waved
hi and Sam Houston often stopped to exchange
a brief conversation when our paths crossed.
Otherwise we were seated below the salt.

The last time our paths crossed before they 
moved away to another of their properties 
some years ago, he was dressed in a 
one-piece camouflaged suit and was wearing 
a camouflaged forage cap and was smoking 
a big cigar and had a long white beard and 
was still quite tall. He looked much like Fidel 
Castro. This was on the street.

he was one of the Sholz Garten inner circle
back then on Friday nights with the likes of 
Henry and Mary Holman, Dave Richards, 
Stanley Walker and many others.
