He is SOOOO beautiful.
My favorite Alain Delon movie is Mr. Klein, in French,
but directed not by a Froggie but by Joseph Losey
one of the Hollywood Ten Commies that had to
work abroad.
The video book reviewers miss the McGuffin at
the end of Mr. Klein. So they only give it 3 1/2 and
2 1/2 stars. If you don't get the McGuffin, you missed
the point of the movie of course.
Delon doesn't hardly do anything in this movie except
for living the events. He is an antiques dealer who is
buying stuff from people on the run. His name puts
him mistakenly on a newsletter subscription list which
is sent to jews. He asks his uncle to get some
proof from Alsace where he comes from that he is
NOT a jew but it seems that there is no proof. So
he is caught and placed in the Vel d'Hiver sports
stadium for shipment to the camps. Fin like it says
on the screen.
