Dear Mr. Wayne,
My last close contact with the Brechtians was in Austin at the Driskill Hotel when the 1976, the Brecht Symposium was held, sponsored by the German Department of UT. I documented the world congress and still have all the negs associated with this memorable event. Some interesting Brecht scholars came from all over to participate.
They , the Lotte, Kurt and Berthold, ect were an important facet in my education.
The Berliner Ensemble, were most of this happened, ist still here and I was privileged to witness an excellent production some years back -Der unaufhaltsame Aufstieg des Arturo Uno- If this was Brechtian theater or Heiner Muellers, it was worth to visit.
