Just pictures to me so far.=20
I was thinking of Hiroshima which I saw in '56 and South Korea in '56, =
'57. Gangs of boys orphaned and maimed by the war living in the bombed =
out remains of buldings, trash trucks picking up bodies at curbside in =
the mornings, families living in holes in the ground covered by =
cardboard--all the grass and bushes in the vicinity gone, eaten by the =
residents. At least in NY and Oklahoma City the surviving wounded =
received immediate care and most of the city was spared.

Visited with newborn Jasmine Williams today, born yesterday to friends =
Cody and Riley, delivered at home by neighbor Amy (trained midwife) all =
California youth (late 20's/early 30's) and by all appearances, hippies. =
But way ahead of us, really living off the land and making it work...so =
far. No radio, no TV, no newspapers, no computers, acres of crops, =
self-built houses...it can be done.
