taking it to the trailer

Frances,

by taking it to the trailer, Judy Hess is suggesting that the
austin-ghetto-list
photo memorabilia be put up on Jim Strong's web site.

I dont know all that much about the latter other than it is a conceit
centered
on Ventriss, TX where Jim and others have pieces of property.

More or less it is the notion that we are echt good old boys but erudite
at the same time. Spanish or German quoting beer swilling trailer folk.
Whatever their souls look like in the best light I cant really say; I know
one thing: that they dont have any time for me.

So trailerhoodness is all well and good but it is not the same as 60s Chuck
Wagon memories.

So that is why Simmons is saving the domain name and Karen and
others have databased the content.

At the dawn of all this, I argued for austin-ghetto.net, but Simmons
actually put up the $70 for 2 years so he chose texasghetto.com
explaining that he never liked Austin all that much. He thought
Travis Rivers was gonna pay for it, but not surprisingly that didnt happen.

Fontaine made a very good case for austinghetto.com or .net
because it was harder to read that way.

Since then the annual cost of a domain name has dropped to around
$15.

Jim Strong who is a big butter and egg man from the East, is paying
for his maillist and his trailer Web site. I feel sure he would be very
flattered to host the austin-ghetto memorabilia. On the other hand,
others might feel that they were slumming just a wee tad bit to fold it
into Jim Strong's digital persona.
