<P>Mike-- Thanks for sharing this great review! I am now even less inclined waste my money and time on witnessing this gore-fest. As to why there is little spirituality and mucho gore and torture, that's what audiences love! It's hard to present on-screen spirituality without seeming vague and sentimental. Even those films about Tibet seem to get interesting just when the Chinese guys come in and smash the monks.</P>
