so it turns out the The Passion of the Christ is a slashmovie,
15 minutes of a closeup torture session, Gibson being one of those
Michael Tracy type Catholics who get off on the suffering.

I recommend that all Xians of this stripe immediately convert
to Shi'a Islam and beat themselves with chains on their backs
till the blood flows in memory of the martyr Ali

There were or maybe still are penitential sects in the backwoods
of Spain who do this on Easter. I seen it in a Mondo Bizarro
type documentary movie way back in the 70s.
