political dimensions of one's preoccupations whilst waiting out the weather this morning

can it be that Bush will continue to self-destruct from
here on in it now being February all the way until November?

it can be. watch it maybe happen in the paper and on TV!
almost like viewing the Watergate hearings and wasn't that
fun!

the more inevitable, the more fun to watch

and Rumsfeld bless his butchness is the only one that will
walk blythly away: he won 2 wars for them micromanaging
the sclerotic militaries into capturing Afghanistan
militarily (not easily done, the Russians and the Brits
couldn't do it)(give him a B+) and militarily capturing
Iraq real fast and lean (give him an A+).

as for AFTER military capture, now that it has gone
obviously real sour, he can turn to Powell at a White
House meeting and say with a smile "Bremer is working
for you, right, Colin?" and watch Colin Powell's face
go white so to speak.

remember! he's the Secretary of Defense, i.e. of War(s),
he won them 2 military operations quite efficiently.

he is free to say pretty much anything he wants about
finding the WMD sometime or other in Iraq just for the fun of
saying it. you KNOW how much fun he takes in controlling
a conversation with the press.
