A Sunday Morning First for Bush
President to appear on NBC talk show

Washington - With his poll numbers falling and Democratic 
candidates criticizing him at every turn, President 
George W. Bush plans to appear on NBC's "Meet the Press" 
Sunday, marking the first time Bush has done a Sunday TV 
talk show in his presidency.

NBC will tape the interview tomorrow morning at the White 
House, Betsy Fischer, the show's executive producer, said 
yesterday. Aside from the location, the White House set 
no ground rules for the one-hour interview with host Tim 
Russert, she said.
