Dean has a religion problem.
70% of 'Muricans say they want their president to have a
strong religious belief.
Usually candidates cover their ass on this one IN ADVANCE
by going to church and affirming their belief in religion.
Dean didnt have to do this number up in free-thinking
Vermont but he HAS to now as a national candidate.
So he has been religioning it up bigtime recently.
an article in the New Republic jeers at whether Dean
is really religious pointing out that after a fight
with an Episcopalian church about public access to
its lake front on Lake Champlain, he changed from
Episcopalian to Congregationalist.
the New Republic of course is very hawkish so one
would expect their unfriendly attitude towards Dean.
Iowa caucuses are just a week or so ahead. stay
tuned!
